:hmm: I want to update the ignition system in my 68 sedan deville 472, but i am unsure which would be the better deal here. here ar the 2 options i'm looking at:

The picture there is of a pertronix ignitor I. I have the Ignitor II myself, and have had no problems with it.

Junkyard HEI is your cheapest option. I already have HEI stock so I don't know how it compares to the other options.

With the factory HEI, I've heard there is a clearence issue. Because the distributor cap is larger, the belt will rub on the cap. I believe the fix for this is using later pulleys in combination with the HEI.

I have a 73 deville what modifications would I have to make to convert distributor to hei? Thanks.
