:hmm: I want to update the ignition system in my 68 sedan deville 472, but i am unsure which would be the better deal here. here ar the 2 options i'm looking at:
EL04 IGNITION CONVERION KIT AThttp://www.500cid.com
OR.
Pertronix Ignitor II Kits

"Think of it as an Ignitor with brains.
Gain horsepower, quicker starting and longer plug life; and you'll never change or adjust points again. Ignitor II shares the same features that make the current Ignitor so popular but has added a powerful new microcontroller, that controls the dwell period, for the best possible spark over the entire RPM range. Ignitor II offers enhanced performance levels only found in more expensive ''box type'' ignition systems. Compared to point type systems, develops on average 4 times more available energy between 3000 and 5000 RPM and 2 times more available plug voltage. 50-State Legal EO#D57-2"
"Fits:
AMC 57-59/63-74
Buick, Cadillac, Olds, Pontiac 56-74
Chevrolet 57 (Except w/Dual Quads & Fuel Injection)
Chevy 58-74 (59-74 Dual Point Mech. Adv. Above Base Plate)
Jeep 66-74, 304/401
Studebaker 65-66/60-61 Lark & Regal
751-91181 Ignitor II O.E. Replacement Kits $109.99 "
ALSO THINKING OF USING A "Pertronix Flame Thrower Coils "
ANY OPINIONS HERE WOULD BE GREAT OR IF SOMEONE HAS A BETTER IDEA FOR UNDER 200 BUCKS LET ME KNOW
