: timming in a 95 sts

is it possible to turn the bottom to get it up on #1 without messing around with top chains, we replaced the chains aligined all marks per caddy garage but did not put on 1, we can pull cover again just dont want to go through pulling valve covers and all that stuff again, also looking for a 18 mm crankbolt that is no longer made

The first step in timing a Northstar cam drive is to put #1 cylinder at TDC on the compression stroke. Everything else in the chain/sprocket sequence is dependent on that starting alignment. There is no way to later correct a mis-timed engine without starting from scratch.
