Anyone order the OEM suede steering wheel and shifter knob separate? My new '09 doesn't have those, but I want them. I can't find the part numbers or pricing on them. My car is an automatic trans, by the way.

dvandentop, the manual trans car will also probably have its own steering wheel part number too. The auto trans wheel has the shifter paddle holes on the back. Hopefully it is available without having to buy an airbag.

Could you post the prices? I'd like the wheel and shifter for an auto.

For $185, this just the sueded portion of the wheel right?

Thanks for looking that up. These are the MANUAL trans parts for anyone reading. Still need the AUTO trans part #'s please!

No these are for the Manual, I can't seem to get a clear part # on the Suede parts for the Auto from my limited part lookup skills unfortunately. It was very clear for the Manual shift knob, not so much for the Auto. I believe the steering wheel shows it includes some additional pieces of plastic and the shroud on the back of the wheel. Unfortunately even 25862028 doesn't list it as suede in my parts view.

ahh thats why you gotta love american. Not even $200 for a suede part that would cost like $800 in a bmw

OK, looks to me like the N45 Option code is Suede for the steering wheel, when I look at the wheels for the Auto it lists 3 that have that designation:
25858203 (javascript:partToIllxSearch('25858203');) built prior to 5/19/08
20821271 (javascript:partToIllxSearch('20821271');) after 4/2/09
25993799 (javascript:partToIllxSearch('25993799');) from 5/20/01 to 4/1/09

Someone will have to check me on that one. Only a single wheel listed with N45 for the manual.

I think KAE code is for the Shifter Knob
25961838 (javascript:partToIllxSearch('25961838');) is for suede Automatic
25961839 (javascript:partToIllxSearch('25961839');) is for leather Automatic
25858072 (javascript:partToIllxSearch('25858072');) is for leather Manual
25858071 (javascript:partToIllxSearch('25858071');) is for suede Manual

I think this is correct. The Automatics only include the Knob, the manual includes the knob and leather boot.

I spoke with Luke at Lindsay Cadillac (Parts Dept). He echoed the part numbers above, saying that the auto trans cars have three different parts depending on build date. We aren't sure why or what is different.

Here is what my personal car calls for (mid 2009 build)

Part 25961838 - automatic trans suede shift knob - $55.45
Part 20821271 - automatic trans suede steering wheel - $253.19

Unfortunately, both items are on national backorder with no release date proposed. DOH!

Luke will need your VIN# to get the correct steering wheel part number for you, it depends on build date. Contact:

I do, but I won't know my build date until this weekend.
