Here is my cruisin' machine. Shes floats at 75mph likes its going out of style.:yup: It has some pretty rare options, it must have originally been owned by a high falutin' banker or doctor or something. What do you guys think.

Caddy 429 340hp, 480tq

Folding tray tables!!!!!!

Pretty cool huh???

That is one pretty ride, man. Where is it parked and where do you hide the keys? ;)

12-01-09, 08:21 PM
Tray tables are cruise control for awesomeness. That's a really sweet car.

Fresh engine repaint, or did it just hold up over the years? That's a GREAT car!

I love it ... umm where did you say the spare keys are?

12-02-09, 07:30 AM
I had the heads off not too long ago and took them down to be rebuilt. While they were off I bottle brush honed the cylinders and put new rings on. Amazingly, there was only slight cylinder wear. I repainted it while it was out. After reassembly and 3-4 oil changes later, the compression is pretty stable at 180psi +/- 5 psi on all cylinders. It is amazing how quickly this car will get from 0-70 mph, it seems as if its slow due to its size, but the speedo just climbs, like its not even straining. Thanks for the compliments guys, and my spare key is safely hidden. I wondered if I would ever sell it in the near future, and decided that I may never come across another Caddy with folding tray tables again, so the decision was a resounding "No!"...lol This baby is better equipped than my 2005 Deville, what the hell? LOL

Well it looks like you need to change your DD.

very, very nice car! I LOVE the color!!! :)

12-02-09, 02:04 PM
She's beautiful, Dave. Any more pics of the interior?

12-02-09, 07:31 PM
I will try this weekend to get some more interior pics. Its been a busy week for me so far.

12-02-09, 08:32 PM
I had a 1975 Electra 225 in a color called Ranch Green which was a little less minty but still a pastel light green. That's such an attractive color for that car! :)

I like stacked lights too . BTW, I didn't know that those Caddies came with the picnic trays ...Well, why don't we have such fancy items in our 1993-96 FWBs ? lol

12-04-09, 06:31 PM
Very nice, what color is the interior?

IIRC, '67 or '68 was the last year for the folding tray tables.

12-04-09, 07:39 PM
The trays were a standard option on 1966 and 1967 Cadillac Fleetwoods with the Brougham package.

From what I hear, its not to common to come across a Caddy with those picnic tray tables. The only other cars Ive seen them in is Jaguars, and Rolls Royces. Anyways, here's some more interior pics that one of you guys wanted. Its dark out, and my interior color is black, so its hard to get a good picture with a black void of black carpet and black doors.....lol. They arent the best pics, but they are ok i guess.

Door Panel

Italian Tuxedo cloth!!!! Original!!!

Back with reading lights

Dash with WORKING clock!!!

Not too bad for a 42 yr old car huh?

That's a beauty

12-06-09, 08:21 PM
True luxury, that. Will you eventually restore the interior to stock?

12-06-09, 08:37 PM
I have... so far.... fixed up this old 67 to a point that I can drive it, still look good doing so, and enjoy it. Since I am not interested in getting rid of her, I imagine within the next 5-10 yrs, I can go through her with a fine tooth comb and make her look like a million bucks with "orgininal" items. This baby isnt going to be custom, pimped out, or anything. Just plain jane stock. I am only 30 yrs old, imagine what people will think of this car when I am 60....lol

12-06-09, 08:49 PM
She's going to be absolutely stunning. Most people have no idea there ever were cars like this. Wish there still were! :(

12-08-09, 11:48 PM
Nice Freemason Plate cover.... lol

12-08-09, 11:51 PM
And I like that pastel green. Dont change it.

12-09-09, 10:42 AM
Nice Freemason Plate cover.... lol

Oh I love that plate cover, very fitting for the car! Shouldn't the world's most exclusive club of enlightened men drive the world's best cars? :)

That is a beautiful car. I am so happy you are keeping the car stock. That is a great model year. Enjoy her and keep us updated with pictures.

The 67 is indeed an excellent year for the distinguished driver yes yes :cool2:

Yeah, I didnt even think about my square and compass on the front tag. Ive been a FreeMason for a little over 2 yrs now. Some of the older guys (60-70) at the Lodge really like my old 67. They say "ohhhh, I remember seeing those driving around when they were new" ... Makes me feel like a little kid or something....lol. But I think its kinda cool, people may wonder, what kind of person would own such a classic car, then they see my tag, and they know, the person that drives this is of the illuminated type. ;)

FREEMASON! (Bet nobody else noticed that)

Anyhow, I personally adore the late-sixties models with the vertical headlights and would one day love to find my current model, but that year's variation and purchase it, but it would (hopefully) NEVER be that colour...
