View Full Version : Homelink System When I purcased my SRX, the homelink sytem was included as part of the luxuary package. The other day, I tried to use it and found something very interesting, it was not there (should be on the drivers sun visor). The dealer is currently working on getting the system installed. Anyone out there had the same issue? compfan03 08-07-04, 02:24 PM I have Homelink on mine and was able to teach it my remotes frequency with no problem. Kind of scary that a luxury car would come off the production line with a piece missing. Makes me wonder what else might be missing on mine. Don't worry, most things that are missing were left off by design not accident. Anyone know why the compass is no longer on the rear view mirror? I have the 2005 SRX and seems there are some changes. I know it was on the 2004 I test drove?! Is it because I have the Nav system? Also my book says there are two compartments to open in the door...something about sunglass, cell phone storage - I don't have this! What did it look like? I have one small "glove compartment" in my door and then the open slot area on the bottom. with nav, no compass in mirror. don't know why, but know it is so.

With the NAV, the compass is already included in the map display in the upper left corner. Putting one in the mirror would be redundant, I guess. I also picked up a 2004 srx, drove home and no homelink. Unfortunately, my dealer is 250 miles away and has been slow to respond. I assume it is fairly easy fix with replacing the sun visor. Curious to know how long and how big a hassle to fix??
By the way, I feel the omission is totally unacceptable. I also picked up a 2004 srx, drove home and no homelink. Unfortunately, my dealer is 250 miles away and has been slow to respond. Go to the nearest Cadillac or GM dealer and have them replace it. I also picked up a 2004 srx, drove home and no homelink. Unfortunately, my dealer is 250 miles away and has been slow to respond. What option package(s) do you have? If it is the 1SA (base) vehicle then it did not come with Homelink. Homelink is only included on the 1SB and higher packages. i have the luxury package which includes homelink. The dealer did respond today saying they have called cadillac but could not give me a time frame on replacement JDelorean_srx 10-23-04, 08:25 PM I'd tell them to come pick up your car, leave the loaner, & bring back your car when it has all the items onit you paid for.
Also, don't complete the customer survey until after they 'fix' your car. Or, just give them crappy ratings - the prep people + the sales person should Not have missed that item. | |
