The editor at cheersandgears shot these and thinks they are the STS-V.
I am wondering if it is the '06 DTS?
Look how narrow the rear tires are. 225s or 235s on the optional 17"
'03 CTS wheels.
A design that was also available on the FWD seville and STS.
Why would the test the V on such skinny meats when 255s are standard on the '05 STS?
Makes one go hmmmmmm.

On second look the wheels appear to be the standard '05 CTS wheel.

considering how close josh was, he should have been able to hear if it was an STS-V...assuming the V will have a more aggresive exhaust note. Really, theres no way to know what it is. could just be an old mule, could be a V. Either way, good catch

I'm positive that's just an STS mule that's been around a while. Those wheels are 2003 Seville STS 17" wheels (which are also 2003 CTS sport package wheels). That mule is so old it was before the factory STS wheels were available and they used the 2003 STS wheels...The plate was issued Feb 04. I'm sure I've seen that busted rear bumper months ago.

Miscreant,

Yep.
Like I posted on cheersandgears, probably not a V mule
but a mule for a new engine or the new 6 speed auto.

It's definately the old mule that was tossed around months ago. The tires look narrow in the first couple pics because they are 'squished' horizontally (probably an error when he was resizing them).

The 2006 DTS will not be a Sigma car. The DTS won't get the 'proper' makeover until 2008. 2006 will give us pretty much the same DeVille we have now with a retooled body and upscale interior. Nothing more (unfortunately).

That one has to be a european test model to say the least... Right hand drive ;)

Oh, and a larger rear plate indent.

It's the same old test car they were using before.
The pics are mirrored, they say as much in the thread that the link above leads to.
My guess is last minute tuning or long-term testing for the production cars. I see nothing that would suggest anything new being done to the car or that needs this amount of speculation...
