What's your favorite Cadillac related TV/Movie???

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the movie Wise Guys with Danny Devito, Joe Piscopo and the late great Capt Lou Albano aka "Freddy the Fixer". My license plate on my FWB actually reads "FIXR" as an homage to the Fixer.

2 GREAT Cadillacs in that Movie. Mob Boss Fank Costello's FWB that gets Blown UP in the infamous "start the car" scene and of course Frankie the Fixer's white 59 convertible that gets painted pink then WRECKED along the NJ turnpike but miraculously appears white and PERFECT in the last scene!!

Anybody on this forum that HAS NOT seen Wise Guys should be ashamed!!!

tough question so many great caddies. Catch me if you can has a lot of nice old caddies in it...I think my favorite would have to be the blue convertible from The Devil's Rejects.

Never seen it, sorry. I also haven't seen the godfather, I get blasted for that all the time too. I do love NYC and visit frequently, but that mob accent is the second most annoying to me (no offense to anybody on here that talks like Joe Pesci or Fran Drescher). Back to the queston, personally I loved Ron Oneil's car in Superfly and Willy Dynamite's too, although his wasn't quite as cool but close. Also in the movie Mystery men there's a scene where the bad guy gets out of a white on white 2 door brougham with a '90 conversion. I love that look as long as it's kept "factory style" i.e. non-lowrider.

Eh, I've never seen the Godfather either. Or Scarface.

In fact, my roommate and a few of my friends, since I have a netflix subscription, have put togFourether a list of movies I "must" see. So far it includes:

The Departed
Four Brothers
Gangs of New York
Behind Enemy Lines
Last of the Mohichans
The Bourne Series (All three of them)

Don Corleone's funeral procession has so many awesome Cadillacs in it. Its a parade of Cadillac Fleetwoods.

Cool site, cars of the Godfather:

For my favorite Cadillac in a TV role, it would have to be Boss Hogg's 1970 Deville Convertible

Who can forget Morty Sienfeld's 1996 Fleetwood Brougham:

Ah, soo many movie Cadillacs!!!!! My favorite has to be Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters!!! http://www.mediaite.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/ghostbusters-ecto1.jpg

But I love the movie Casino too, Robert DeNiro drives a bunch of Eldorados throughout the movie, and Don Rickles drives an 80's Brougham. Goodfellas, come on tons of Caddies.... My fav was the pink 79 Coupehttp://imcdb.org/images/003/273.jpg My Big Fat Greek Wedding has a bunch of nice Caddies in it in the beginning. The movie Hoffa has some nice ones, 70's Broughams! The list is endless!!!!!!

70 S 75

Magnum Force,

It has some great scenes of this caddy cruising with some 'salty lookin' dudes being tailed by Harry Callaghan

Just got it on Bluray, you can see the condition of the paintwork the picture is so clear.

Great film check it out

There was a scene in Magnum Force where they pull over a pimp and he's driving the same eldorado that was used in Willy Dynamite. Really tacky pink car with fake headers coming through the fenders, but always good for entertainment.

How about "License to Drive" with the Coreys? Awesome movie.

11-22-09, 06:13 PM
Yes, "License to Drive" Cadillac! I have to say that is probably the first Cadillac I really, really liked when I first saw that movie when younger. Good 80's B-movie, heh.

Several others I like, but the other that popped into my mind is the Caddy from "Black Cadillac" with Randy Quaid... plain and black, but I like it!

black cadillac was a gay movie but the car was cool!

Okee dokee, there are commercials on all these favorite TV programs - - a few of my select favorites from the good ol' days - - we will have these days again - - think positive and past the current drag of today and look back to what we know we can do again! :) :

YouTube- Cadillac Style (1988)

YouTube- 1974 Cadillac

YouTube- Cadillac 1974

YouTube- Cadillac 1974 Ad

PLUS, on TV, my favorite classic 1970's game show was "Let's Make a Deal!" Here are some Cadillac excerpts. I love Monty Hall!

YouTube- "Lets Make A Deal" - Early 1970's Cadillacs

Have fun and think BIG! DRIVE your CADILLAC TODAY!!! :)

Going into 1970's memories - - The show "Rockford Files" had an episode with a brand new 1977 Fleetwood Brougham with the "castle" grille which was FABULOUS! MacMillan and Wife had the police chief tooling around in a brand new '75 Fleetwood Brougham, CHIPS had a spectacular smash up scene with a '76 Fleetwood Brougham (RIP), and "EMERGENCY" had a smash up scene (again, RIP nice Cadillac) with Dr. Kelly Brackett wrecking his '76 Coupe deVille - - Dr. Brackett was OK but the Cad looked DONE. For my sweet tooth for the 1950's here is one of my most favorite and catchy commercials from 1958, one of my all time favorite years. :)

YouTube- 1958 GM Cars TV Commercial

Bro-Ham, I'm telling you, every time I get behind the wheel of my car the jingle "Cadillac, Caddillac, Cadillac STYLE!" goes through my head....LOL.

Robb - - As it should! That's a classic Reagan/Bush let's get back to greatness kind of way of life slogan! 1988 was the beginning of Cadillac's rise from the misery of small cars with pitiful engines back to an attempt to recapture past greatness! We shall overcome and return to Cadillac style once again! Booo to the Prius/political correct/cash for clunkers BS we're putting up with now. Let's go for what we know is all American! Drive your Cadillac! Let's hope Cadillac builds monumental, imposing, powerful cars once again!!! :) :) :) TV and movies will follow along after the people have been leaders for a few years. :) Dave

Here's another great 1988 "Cadillac Style" commercial for the Eldo:

YouTube- 1988 cadillac eldorado commercial

1986 Fleetwood Brougham commercial - - when they were "best of all...it's a Cadillac" before the jazzy "Cadillac Style" campaign in 1988.

YouTube- 1986 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham

The 1988 Cadillac commercials were from the 1988 Masters golf tournament. I taped the originals on VHS and have a 1988 Brougham commercial - - I need to find the tape since I can't find it on YouTube. Anyway, enjoy! :)

I loved the 1972 Sedan Deville in License to Drive and Boss Hogg's 1970 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. Both were just awesome cars. Some of the old Let's Make A Deal episodes with Monty Hall featured some great Cadillacs 1972 '73'74'75. JL

The convertiable from undercover brother

The 1959 Superior 3-Way Hearse from Harold and Maude.

Second place would go to the 1959 Miller Meteor from Ghostbusters, but because it was painted that way and had all those lights, it will never be as awesome as the one from Harold and Maude...a film I've never seen and know nothing about...besides there being an awesome Cadillac, of course.

Tango & Cash
True Romance
The corruptor
The Man
Donnie Brasco

TIN MEN with Danny Devito and Richard Dreyfus - non-stop 57-58-59-60-61-62-63 Caddy's throughout the movie.
Opening scene is of a 63 Coupe on display in a showroom...

.....Do you even have to ask me?? lol.

1979 Coupe DeVille Phaeton in Goodfellas, Cookie, State of Grace, Ghostbusters II (all the same car)

Then there's the only thing that ever made Andy Barker P.I. worth watching, another '79 Phaeton.

The red 1971-'72 Eldorado convertible on Touched by an Angel is another personal favorite, lots of old memories of seeing that car. (couldn't find a picture)

Then there's the 1975-'76 Eldorado the cop drove in Murder she wrote, again, lots of old memories.

Donnie Brasco had a lot of great old caddies, my favorite being this 1978-'79 Coupe DeVille (the color & interior are '79, but the grille & taillights are '79) Epic battles have been started trying to figure out the year of this car... It's a '78.

The pink '79 in Goodfellas (God help me, but I'd like to own this one, too.)

There's a longer list, but those are all that I could think of off the top of my head.

The movie "CASINO" has some great looking Cadillac`s in it.

I love the classic Caddy commercials from the '50's---thru the 70's----all classy, elegant and slower paced than today`s herky jerky ultra fast paced Caddy commercials geared towards a much younger buyer.

06-21-10, 04:06 AM
I can't believe that nobody has mentioned the pink '59 convertible from 1985's Weird Science.
