I noticed some brown staining on the bottom of the mirror glass. the mirror seems to work fine? I assume the fluid for the dimming feature is causing the staining. What would be the best was to go about having the dealer replace it?

thx

If the car is still covered under warranty, I would suggest having them replace it. I accidentally damaged my right side mirror glass and they wanted nearly $200 to replace it. When I complained, all he told me was that I should be glad it wasn't the driver side mirror, because that would have been over $400.

When my passenger mirror was shattered, I went to the dealer. They told me that it would cost $135 for the mirror and one of his mechanics will replace it for $20 cash.
