Not exactly. The Catera is a redressed Opel/Vauxhall Omega B. The GTO is a redressed Holden Monaro from Australia. The Monaro is based on the Holden Commodore sedan which has its roots in the Opel Omega B. Holden took the Omega frame and added 2 or 3 inches to its width to make room for the GM V8.

Australian roads are rougher than European ones so Holden revised the Omega front suspension to the point that only the front springs are interchangeable. The rear suspensions are very similar so the springs, shocks and bushings can be swapped between cars.

The Catera has unique electronic brains so the available performance chips (or the modules themselves) for Omegas and Monaro/GTOs cannot be used.

No one has yet dismantled a GTO and tried fitting every part to a Catera so there may be other interchangeables. Maybe a switch or relay or sparkplugs but I doubt any major components other than the front brake calipers & hoses.
