I know where a 1977 Coupe Deville convertible is. It was apparently converted by Hess & Eisenhart making it a LeCabriolet. But, the problem is, I CANNOT find ANY information on this!!! It would seem that 1) the owner is lying 2) the owner doesn't know and is guessing, or 3) it's really a 77 LeCab and I'm just unable to find any information on it.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! I'm going to sell my 59 Coupe Deville and my 84 Coupe Deville to get this (if it's in fair to good condition) however I'd like to know what I'm really getting! Even if it's NOT a true LeCab, it'd be nice to know who converted it...
Thanks in advance!!!

I'll give it a try for you, I've already searched and found no lead...so far.

I'm wondering if it's a "bastard child" and there's no records available... I've checked for the last month+ and come up with nothing... Even the Cadillac registry doesn't have any information! 78 and up... :banghead:

H & E is still in busines, I do believe, in Cinci, Ohio. They made them from 1977 thru & including 1984. Around 200 a year.

A guy I knew some years ago had a late 70s H+E ragtop. I seem to recall seeing badges on the fenders. The car was yellow with a white gut, really clean too. I went past the guys house recently and saw something in the side yard under a car cover, rotting into the ground. It's scary to think it's that nice car I remember.

See what it is...

A 59 coupe AND a 84 Coupe? Umm, unless your two cars are shrapnel a 77 LeCab isnt worth that kind of money. 77-79's can usually be had all day long for 5k-9k. Its the 80-83 cars that are the more valuable ones.
c'mon bob... I'm going to put my blown 472 into it :D
j/p I've wanted a 77 or 78 Caddy (super clean) for ever! The 59 I just sold to a homeboy for $2500 and the 84 is going soon... I've still got my 87 Turbo Regal and my 52 Chevrolet, but I WANT a 77 ot 78 Caddy! Find me a clean one that isn't at a car lot and that the person selling doesn't think it's worth the same as a Bentley!
BTW... I just lost ALL motivation on the 59 Coupe. It was a SOLID foundation, but it needed some work. Most of the reason I even bought it was that the guy sold it to me for $1500! The homeboy I sold it to has had a picture of a 59 Coupe Deville in his wallet next to his daughter's picture since I met him, so I kinda HAD to help a homeboy out! No loss on my part, I got $1000, a tent (that was new in the trunk,) AND my homeboy lives like 6 blocks away...
