My 95 FWB rear shocks seem to get stuck in the upper most position. I carried some rather large people in the back seat and the air ride pumped up the rear, but it took over 24 hrs to settle down to a comfortable ride. Is this common? It has happened twice. Is there a switch or valve that can be ep[laced?

There is a valve but i'm pretty sure its part of the pump assembly.
