| View Full Version : Anyone have a schematic for the digital instrument cluster ? electricman 11-06-09, 02:59 PM having one would certainly make repair easier...... George carnut 11-07-09, 04:18 PM When new, these were returned to a firm called Yazaki. Then an exchange cluster was sent back. Dealer never had schematic. www.allantesource I believe can do an exchange. The mileage is stored in the BCM so your correct mileage will remain in non erasable memory. babylac89 11-07-09, 10:27 PM Carnut...where are you in California? Chief electricman 11-09-09, 01:57 PM These are obviously repaired, so someone either has the schematic or has reverse engineered it. Perhaps I'll just reverse engineer mine.... George unknowndr_who 11-09-09, 02:41 PM I read somewhere on here that you can get a used one and switch the bcm. I think I'm gonna try because mine doesnt work. Just quit the other day. Shawn Allantesource 11-18-09, 11:11 PM There are no schematics for the cluster. We break other clusters up for parts. We have had some 87-89 boards repaired that have the no turn signal or high beam indicators. We have found that only about half of the boards with that problem can be repaired. carnut 11-19-09, 12:38 AM The BCM must remain in the car. It stores the non eraseable mileage memory for your car. Yes you can get another cluster from that year of car. And by not working, what do you mean? ALL segments are inop? It would be unlikely that a totally blank cluster would be a faulty cluster. More likely the power feed to it. Has it been diagnosed? Verify with allantesource but I believe a 90 and 91 are the same regarding clusters. An analog display is a simple swap as well, if located, as long as the picture frame bezel around it is swapped as well. Used to swap my 88 from digital to analog on a whim. Took about 30 min. | |
