So my cruise control stopped working about 3 months ago, no idea why. My research has shown that these vehicles have an issue with the brake light switch.

What happens is that I can turn on the cruise but it won't activate. It used to be intermittent, and then I would have to tap the brake before setting it and it would work. Then nothing at all.

What can I do to fix this?

Sounds like a brake pedal switch issue... Isn't she still under warranty?

I had the same problem (CC would turn on but not engage) on my 07 2 hours into a two week, 2000 mile trip. Downright painful.
As the others mentioned it was a defective brake light switch. Dealer replaced & no more problems for the remainder of time I had it.
