I just bought a 05 ESV 6.0. It has 100k on it. MINT MINT condition inside and out, like new. I bought it about 2 weeks ago and earlier this week I put on my winters. I never noticed it at the begining but when im driving and my foot is on the gas the engine seems to be louder then before not sure if its the tires but when I let go of the gas even at like 120km/h its very quiet its when I touch the gas the engine seems to be louder then usual.

While driving I can put it in nuteral and touch the gas and its very quiet. Im not sure if it could be the transmission or not struggeling? So I dont know what the problem is, can anyone help?

Kind of sounds like the transfer case and/or front differential. Mine has been doing it for years, I just change the fluids in there about every other year. If it starts to get really loud time for a rebuild. There is a few posts in here about front diffs going bad and rebuilt.
