HELLO does anyone have any ideas about what tire that I can put on my 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood 2 door coupe? I am looking for a whitewall tire but I want a smooth riding tire that is a must does anyone have first hand experience?

Check Tirerack, according to them your tire size is 205/70R15. I would go with a set of Michelin`s, the Symmetry is the only one with whitewalls(I think), check it out yourself online. They have reviews for each tire you search. I personally have Michelin HydroEdge on both my Cadi`s and they are smooth and quiet with excellent grip.
Another brand is Bridgestone Turanza's which come in a pin line whitewall.

I'm thinking of getting Goodyear Comfortreads. Has anyone had experience with them? I don't care about whitewalls.

i just got a set of cooper lifeliner gls's for my 90 good tire for the price
I presently have Goodyear Comfortreads and am very pleased with them. If I were in the market now it would be these or Michelin Primacy MXV4.
My criteria are quietness and comfort.

I recently got a set of the Goodyear "FuelMax" tires. These are very similar to the ComforTreads (according to the dealer) but are designed to improve the mileage by 3%-4%. I think they ride and handle better than the Symmetrys, but they are a little costlier. I also noticed a slight mileage gain (no more than a mile a gallon), but that was enough to bump me from my best highway MPG from 29 to 30 with my DHS. :hurr: Note - they also have the textured (ribbed?) sidewall, which seems quite "trendy" these days, so I'm not sure if they're available in a w/w.

Ok thanks guys I will take a look at these tires. Someone also told me about Khumo tires. thanks
Had GY Comfortreds on our Lincoln Town car, made a noticable difference compared to the symmetrys...much smoother, quieter ride.
Currently have Michelin HydroEdge's on our 2000 Deville, it's a firmer ride than the oem tires that were on it.
It does wonderful in water and it grips great, but I miss the smoother ride.
I wouuld skip the kumhos, if your trying to save some $$, go with the Yokohomas touring avids.

The smoothest riding and quietest tires are the bling-less Vogues. Get the ones without the diamond pattern and gold pinstripe. They do have quality control issues I have heard. They are also very expensive. Twice as much as Michelins. Usually sold only by dealers.
I always used Michelins X=Radials and MX-4 etc. from a big box membership retailer. I got a minimum of 75,000 out of them. I have tried to buy mail order, but the cost of install and balancing and rotation during the lifetime killed any deal.

I still say Michelin's have the smoothest, quietest ride out there. Goodyear comfortreads are up there as well but the downfall for Goodyears is they wear out to way to fast. Pirelli's(P4) are definitely getting better for ride comfort.
