Yesterday, I talked to a guy who works at a junkyard. He just totaled his 96 9C1. Seems some old lady in a 2003 Cadi Deville didn't stop for a red light at an intersection he was already 1/2 way through...and the rest was history. The engine and tranny were both damaged. It was a total loss. Even the rear end snapped on impact...he didn't even have time to brake. (He didn't get hurt at all! Not a scratch. Proof that Chevy B-Bodies save lives!) He's gonna take the interior out but that's all that could be saved. He told me he wants a TBI version of the 9C1 and wanted to buy mine...I said..."Sorry dude...no way!" He said that he had so much trouble with his LT1 Caprice...it was hard to work on...parts were expensive....he sometimes searched high and low for problems and couldn't find them...etc...etc. He wants a more old fashioned engine like the TBI version because they are easier to work on. Everything is right where its always been. He said changing the wires is even a B_TCH because he had to take off the pulley and the belt to get to the thing that is supposed to be the cap. Changing the plugs were a 3 hour job for him. Two sensors cost him 200.00 bucks! :banghead: :drinker :crybaby:
