Just picked up an 09 v the other day. So far everything that I have read about it is true. The 0-60 in 3.9 still eludes me :annoyed:. I love the looks I get from the gearheads that know what it can really do.

Congrats and welcome! The engine will feel "tight" as it is new. It won't start to feel fast until you get a few thousand miles on it. Mine didn't quite feel beastly until about at least 5K miles. Break it in, change the oil and once you get some good miles on it, it will start to open up. Trust me on that.

Are yous saying that the test cars that are used for reviews are broke in? I don't think so, but I could be wrong. And they have no problem (usually) getting those times.

Most of those cars used to do rag reviews are passed around,... when one journalist is done with it, it's sent to the next. I'd venture to say a good number of those cars have well over 'break-in' miles.

What did you get,... manual or auto? Raven Black is an outstanding color,... looks really angry and sexy when clean. Enjoy!

I have to agree. Now that I'm over 5K miles, the car feels way better. But LS motors have always been that way. All I can say is, broken in, with cool air, and this car is finally fun to drive.

Oh geeez... My 556 hp car feels a bit doggish until I get a few thousand miles on it.

Are you serious? I drove one with 103 miles on it and it felt like someone was tugging on my nonexistant mullet when I mashed the long pedal. If you don't reach 60 in less than 4 than you need to be driving a Honda.

Congrats, the black CTS-V is a great looking car!

Break-in in crucial for any car, but a 556HP car will feel NICE whether it's broken in or not, even in 100F weather :)
