I'm trying to replace my fog lamp bulbs with after market bulbs...I'm not considering HID's or blue tinted lights (less lumen output)...I'm either doing silverstars or I'm curious to see if anyone has put in yellow bulbs...simlar to that you see on the Lexus IS300's or some civics and wrx's...I have an 05 Grey STS V8 and thought the yellow fogs might look good with the car and color...let me know what you think and if anybody has...post some pics!!!

i didnt think of that, like the silverwhite like. silverstars are not HID, they are simulated HID. HID are kits that come with amp units. also if u want yellow look for 4,300K Yellow kits.

Example, http://www.kingsource.com/hidwh330kss.html they list it as 3000K 4,300K was wrong that is the super white/silver color. now this site charges a lot, u should check out other stores and also ebay. the fog lights use H3 bulbs. anything over 100 bucks for a HID kit is way to much.

I appreciate the link and the advice, but I said I'm not looking for HID's...I want to see what kind of halogen alternatives there are with a yellowish tint similar to stock yellow fogs I've seen on other cars as well...

just buy amber h3 bulbs. but it wont be as great, ur deal will dyed bulbs is over time the heat will cause the bulb to chip the paint off. the bulbs that are not dyed tend to cost 2-3 time more. still cheap compared to a HID kit, but then ur getting so close that a inexpensive HID kit will be worth wild, as the light output is easily 5 times greater.

http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H3.html this company makes really good long lasting bulbs, but they are not cheap, but worth the money, at the bottom of the page u'll see the ion yellow bulbs. i use to have the GT plasma bulbs in my sports car till i upgraded it to full HID kit. huge difference.
