:cookoo:I will be replacing the radiator in the '99 Deville this weekend. Also, I'm replacing the lower motor mount while the radiator is out. The FSM says to disable the SIR, remove the air cleaner and a whole lot of other stuff that appears to be unnecessary. Can't I just disconnect the battery, loosen the fans, disconnect the radiator hoses and hard lines and pull the radiator?

Does anyone have any advice or tips to help me with these two jobs?

FSM says to disassemble a lot of things that you can get around Lew. I'd just start into it and remove what you need to as you go.

Lew....remember FSM written for Dealer employees.....time is money there, so more stuff for mechanic to do, makes Dealer more$$. Do just what needs to be done.
