i was riding home from a buddies house when i passed a wrx on I-26. he caught back up and we took off. i have a 05 v6 and was really impressed with the power and speeds i got up to before i hit the gov. also with the 22s i thought it would slow me down but got my first one under the belt and dont expect to many more

the wheels are devino sires and i think the only reason i kept up with it is it might have been a 2.5 impreza non turbo

Yeah, I was gonna say you would be lucky to keep up with a wrx sti with a v8

wrx is not super fast, i know they can keep up, but i'd be really suprise with the v6 model given its weight.

a 06 sti 0-60 is like 4.5, compared to around 6.0 for a v8 sts..pretty fast if you ask me

im shocked how fast are cars are compared to other cars with more power. they did the STS right in performance.

I lot of those 4 bangers have great 0-60 times but at anything close to highway speeds they fall on their face. At Nopi one year I raced a STI that had over 500 hp with a Viper GTS. In fact his modification was called the "Viper Killer". Smoked me off the line but at any thing over 60 it wasn't even close.

The new WRX's (non-sti) would kill any of our cars. V6/V8...anything not a CTS V would get smoked.
The old WRX's turbo would kill our V8's as well. The only way your V6 kept up was if it was a non turbo 2.5. The turbo in the normal ones put way more torque under the curve than your VVT V6.
