According to Suncore Industries, there is a switch in the trunk or passenger compartment that will turn off air ride suspension.
Does anyone know EXACTLY where I might find such a switch on my 2000 DeVille?
Are you talking about the ELC? Never heard of any such switch.

I just looked at the schematics for the Automatic Level Control in my 2000 Deville FSM and saw no such on/off switch. What are you trying to do that you need such a switch?

Cadillac never put a switch in for it, its always on. It knows when you jack up the car and it won't let all the air out, unlike my stupid Lincoln. First time I jacked it up I forgot to shut the suspension off and it deflated while in the air. I dropped the car back down and couldn't get my jack out. I had to wait about 2 minutes for it to pump the whole car back up.

I had a Lincoln Towncar...LOL. Same thing happened to me with a jack and that stupid air bag suspension. Lincoln did have a switch in the trunk for this...DUH!:thepan:
Suncore is obviously incorrect about such a switch in a Cadillac.
Now, I want to pull the fuse to the compressor, and after reading for an hour on searches on these forums, I found several questions about the fuse, and several answers to pull the fuse, but I never found where to find the fuse (other than in one of the fuse holders that might be found in as many as three different locations - under hood, in trunk, in cabin). Where exactly is the fuse for the suspension compressor located in my 2000 DeVille??

It's a 30 amp fuse called "ELC Fuse" it's located in the rear fuse block under the rear seat cushion next to the battery. Pulling it will disable the compressor for the rear air shocks.
THANK YOU very much, "00 D"!

I believe there is also a relay for the air ride located under back seat fuse block. The relay is #55. top left corner.
