I have a 88 fleetwood brougham and I think I need a new wiper switch. The delay doesn't work anymore...I only have 1 speed...sometimes slow sometimes FAST sometimes doesn't want to shut off. I went to the dealer and the switch is available...for 250$ So before I do just want to make sure that it's the switch. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks John

Usually the printed circuit board under the plastic cover on the wiper motor fails. Simply unplug the wiper motor, remove the cover and replace the circuit board. That is the most common failure.

He John,
I had a similar problem like yours on my 80 coupe; I replaced the wiper motor twice, replaced switch with a NOS found on eBay and nothing. A friend suggested to replaced the printed circuit board that is under the black cover and so I did and now they work perfectly again. I found this part at ORielly (hoped I spelled correctly) or check on eBay I've seen them there. Good luck
