How hard is it to replace the climate control fan in a 1991 Brougham??? The one in my car has been making an intermittent noised ever since I bought the car a year and a half ago. It sounds like a cricket chirping.
How hard is it to replace the fan??? I'm thinking I might just live with it, but it always gets worse in the colder months.
It's a total breeze (that's a joke) ;)
It sits on top of the ducting on the passenger's side at the rear of the engine bay. I had to remove mine several times when it stopped on a dead spot on the commutator and refused to work. With some cleaning I got it working 100% again.

There's only a few screws holding it on.

So it sits up near the cowl at the base of the windshield right?
I really need to clean up my engine bay, wish mine looked that impressive.

Yeah, its that black cylinder up at the top left of the picture next to the A/C evaporator. There is nothing but a few bolts holding it in.
