I purchased a 2009 automatic and have approximately 200 miles on it. I have a pulley chirp when the car is first started in the morning, which will last about one minute. Then it turns into a soft squeal, which will last about 5 minutes. On other starts during the day it does not happen. I took it back to the dealer and after 3 days they said there was nothing wrong with the car, that the sound was coming from the exhaust manifold. I know this is not correct. Has anyone else had this problem.

In my experience the high pitch squeal is typically belt slippage, belt conditioner or dish soap can help. Dealership should fix that permanently.

Besides what Slvr suggests, it could also be an idler pulley bearing going out.

True, without hearing we can speculate all day long.
