So I am thinking about increasing the stopping power of my brakes on my 1975 fleetwood 75. I am considering Delco 4 piston fixed calipers that came standard on some 1967 and 1968 chevy models including corvette and camaro (i think). Now would this upgrade be a simple swap? Or would it be more complicated?

Would the performance gains be substantial? Also I do know that the bore size of the single piston caliper that came standard for my year is 2.94 inches. What is the total area of the 4 pistons on the fixed caliper?? thanks For reference i have included a pic of each

It won't be an improvement at all. The only way to improve is to increase rotor size, allowing for more swept area.

Has anyone ever thought about or actually created a custom dual caliper braking system for the front discs?

Yes, you can get them from SSBC. OOPS! I just re-read your post! You said dual CALIPER, not dual PISTON.

Awe just drive it. Who cares how it stops. hehe. Just kidding. However, I did actually drive my 75 coupe with a leaking master cylinder for a few days. It was leaking so that the rear portion wouldn't hold fluid, therefore i had no back brakes. That was stupid I know, but once i got used to stopping early it was hard not to when i got it fixed. Which is a good thing cause i usually drive like i stole it anyway. That just slowed me down a bit.
