One of our Moderators, The Tony Show, is trying to repair this for me but.....

Has anyone experienced a broken link to a picture album ??? This showed up two days ago and is sort of frustrating; click on either my login header picture album icon or the album title/link in my profile and you're sent to a CF user from 2003 who doesn't exist, no pictures. Click on the Photo Albums tab in the blue bar, the album lists open, and my album "Various car and boat pics" appears as #491 and it opens OK.

I can't repair the broken link in my profile. Any other ideas besides Tony's work ???

I've added your name to the report I filed with the Site Admins. Hopefully they get back to me soon.

I'm looking into this issue...

I have noticed for a few days that I haven't been able to view my albums or anyone else's. I was wondering if it was just my computer, but I guess not. If I click on someone's album it would link to mine and show me the list of folders, but never open it.

More and more members are being shut out of their picture albums. Something is killing the album links and redirecting you to a member who doesn't exist - the address line at the bottom of the page shows ".....a-albums..........." then a redirect to some member who joined in early 2003.

An Administrator is looking into the problem - it started about a week ago.

Go up to the blue bar - Photo Albums - and find yours. If you can wade in deep enough you'll find that this album link has an album number in the link, not your login name and then albums......

Looks like the album problem is getting into the newer Cadillac Forums up top, too.

same exact issue as above no matter whose album I click on, their photo album link comes up but when I click on it it goes to mine and no matter how many times I click it it wont open.

Two weeks ago we were "looking into this", now we're trying to launch a new website, the original add-on problem is not corrected, and a lot of members are still unable to access or update their photo albums.

Can someone fix this site before we go further afield ? Please.........

.........or discontinue all albums and the problem will go away.

Are the albums really a big deal? There are plenty of photo hosting services out there. Everyone should be grateful Sal allows attachments to posts. Many forums do not, to save bandwidth.

JimmyH, No, the album is not a big deal. No skin off my nose if the small icon in one's login header is removed. It's just curious that one can still find their album (if one is in fact created) by searching the "Photo Albums" up in the blue bar, but the personal link in a profile has failed.

Curiouser and curiouser..............I just clicked on my photo album icon in my login (no, the link is still broken) BUT, for one microsecond, the blank space for my album cover (which has a red background) turned red and then flicked off again. It's almost as if the album tries to open, but then, instantaneously, there's a redirect.

The title page of my photo albums is still there. The thumbnails are gone, but the links and descriptions are still there. Clicking on the links does nothing. There is browser activity for a second, then it just stops and stays on that page.
