:suspense:Hello first time posting..How do I remove the A/C compressor off my 472 1973 Fleetwood? Do I have to change anything? Im never going to use it, so I want to get rid of some clutter..

When we pulled mine, we just unbolted the mounts and pulled the thing out. I think there's only 4 bolts holding it in? It's been about 8 years since I did it. We unscrewed all the lines and everything associated with it. I just left all the lines open that weren't being used. I love not having the compressor, it's so much easier to work on now, and the thing weighs a ton. You'll have to get a shorter belt to bypass it. There should be an option for a non a/c car at the local parts store, so they'll have the part number. I forget the name for the smaller radiator in front of the radiator (been awake too long) but you can get rid of that too. More air for the cooling system. Now you can use a taller aluminum intake manifold.

Angry Matt was thinking of the condenser, which is in front of the radiator. You can toss that too if you are gonna do away with AC.:stirpot:

Also, be sure to put the rear compressor bolts back into the manifold. I'm pretty sure the bolt holes go into the ports, so if you leave the bolt out, you'll have a massive vacuum leak! Trust me, I know from removing the compressor on a 425! :)
