View Full Version : Picking up a CTS-V on Thursday I kept running into snags on getting a regular CTS financed (Weird title stuff, leins etc.) But I'm glad because I found a good deal on a V!
Silver/Black '05! I had my heart set on black but I figured silver was OK since it's a V. Joe Pagano 10-27-09, 04:05 PM Hey, sometimes you back into a better deal. Congrats, and post pics as soon as possible.......................................... . Joe P Cell phone pic from when I went to look at it:

I'm pretty stoked! It's going to be a PITA getting it home because it's way up in SC and I'm on the road all this week. I'm going to make a detour south and get a friend to give me a ride up there and then I'm going to work :annoyed: Or at least going to the town where I'm scheduled to work on Fri. Cadillac Talan 10-27-09, 08:44 PM great lookin car, congrats. bierman.d 10-28-09, 01:53 AM Congratulations! You'll have fun with that car :) tommy compton 10-28-09, 02:05 AM Better get your *** over to the Cts-v forum, let me be the first to welcome you to mod hell.
Silver is the fastest color. Joe Pagano 10-28-09, 03:40 AM Nice, looks clean. And the front bumper does not have those awfull license plate holes. What options? Since my CTS is not a V I'm not sure what's standard or optional.
Best of luck, looks like a winner. Now you can float between forums......................... Joe P Yea, I loathe the front plate holder. (Have it on the STS...) And Ga. doesn't require front plates...
From what I understand the "V" is loaded to the max for a CTS. It has nav, sunroof, xenons, leather (black). I think that they all came with everything. The only weird thing is that it has a different steering wheel than the regular CTS and it doesn't have the little audio wheel control.
No mods for me! It's plenty fast already... STE_6000 10-28-09, 07:29 AM so no exhaust and intake? na i dont care how fast it is, u need atleast that son. tommy compton 10-28-09, 11:31 AM No mods for me! It's plenty fast already...
There are some improvements that are always needed, skip shift eliminator and short throw shifter with poly bushings.
Polyurethane motor mounts, transmission mount, differential bushing ect..
You'll see ;)
In 04-05 the sunroof was optional, so looks like you'r fully loaded. "No mods for me! It's plenty fast already..." that is what I said. After three months I have already put another 3k in and have another 3planned for over the winter.... and then there is the maggie too! The car sucks you in. But it is soooo worth it! Welcome to the club. I may do exhaust and another shifter but a maggie is above my paygrade! tommy compton 10-28-09, 09:22 PM See it's started already. Just an update...
I got the car and have spent quite a bit of time driving already. It's really a completely different animal from the STS. It shifts kind of clunky, it rides rough, it has a few quirks but it's fast as hell!
It's nice cruising down the interstate knowing that if you felt like it you could embarrass 99% of the cars on the road :D
400 hp on tap is pretty cool plus I'm a stick shift guy so it's perfect!
I think I'm going to look at it right now... I'll be in the garage :D bierman.d 11-01-09, 01:08 PM Haha glad to see you're enjoying it. z06bigbird 11-01-09, 01:17 PM Blinking cat for rear window, curb feelers, and fuzzy dice!!
