Very nice run mpouls1 10-27-09, 01:34 AM Very good run :2thumbs:
I'm curious to your technique at the launch and set up. Looks like you were able to put the power to the ground. And you beat the 11.50 :) Hawkeye2 10-27-09, 07:19 AM How does 11.74 beat 11.50?
Nice run BTW! Who did the mods? I am Chicago suburbs as well. Batavia
Very nice run
Wait4Me Performance. When it comes to tuning and these cars in general, the guy knows his stuff.

Not quite that fast, although my buddy thought I might eventually get there as I kept getting quicker and quikcer as I got better launching it (12.08, 11.98, 11.88, 11.79, 11.74, then 11.82 (spun in 2nd gear).
As far as launching it....quick burnout to get the crap off the tires, bring the revs up to 1500, then smooth but quick application of the throttle (although I didn't just stomp it). Early in the day I wasn't aggressive enough with the throttle application and my 60 ft's showed it. Track was fairly good all day, although I spun in 2nd gear (after a good 60 ft.) on the last pass. The best ones were mid-high 1.8's. mpouls1 10-27-09, 12:23 PM How does 11.74 beat 11.50?

Doubt we can get any better 60's on stock tires. I sure would like to feel the difference with some wait4me mod's in the spring and some toyo proxes. The smooth but quick application I agree is the best way to get that tank off the line. Video looked good. Again WTG . Notice the smiley face.

A trip to W4M Performance is definitely worth your time. richeic77 10-27-09, 05:40 PM Nice runs. Seems like all these cars need to get good times is a nice launch. Are you planning on getting a set of rear rims and some DR's? Caddyscat 10-27-09, 07:29 PM :D:yup::sneaky:Oh God! NICCEE Picture!! Nice runs. No, I have a 2004 Cobra that is alot more fun (and alot faster) at the drag strip. The Caddy will see the dragstrip occasionally, but I'm not interested (i.e. can't afford) dumping money into two cars at once. :helpless:
The Caddy's performance at the strip on runflats was a pleasant surprise though. :D OldRoadDawg 10-27-09, 08:46 PM The Caddy's performance at the strip on runflats was a pleasant surprise though. :D
runflats. . . . huh?? runflats. . . . huh??
Mental confusion from posting on a few boards on a few topics within a short span, while simultaneously converting and uploading some of my buddies vids from Sunday......Street tires (i.e. the factory Michelins).
I (and everybody else I race with) are always on slicks or DRs. Street tires at the track is a new thing for me. I wish my Cobra worked as well when it wore factory rubber.
Sorry RoadDawg, my mistake. Gary Wells 10-27-09, 10:24 PM Beautiful car, pictures, and especially the action shot of the burnout at the line. Thanks for sharing. Fastlane 09 CTS-V 11-01-09, 08:33 PM Congrats onthe good run... It that track downhill? UWISHU1 11-01-09, 09:04 PM Hi Larry :D love that Caddy what a shock to me when I thought is was your old STS-V. Congrats onthe good run... It that track downhill?
No, the shutdown area is uphill. | |
