Hello guys,

I had my 2005 Cadillac STS 4.6 imported from USA to Europe. It is the best car I've ever owned and overall I am totally satisified. However recently there occured a small issue - there is some liquid moderately leaking underneath the rear part of the car, please see the picture in attachement. I would need to replace a seal (I do not know how exactly this spare part is called in English) to solve this issue.

I managed to contact the original car dealer where my car was purchased, however they refused to send anything outside of USA. So I would need semeone who could get this part for me and send it to me to Slovakia or could you recommend me some reliable Cadillac dealer who could I order necessary spare parts from? I have a PayPal account so I have no problem to transfer money immediately.

Thank you very much for your help.

Do you have the GM part number? I might be able to assist you in obtaining the part.

Go to www.gmpartsdirect.com

OR

www.newgmparts.com

OR

Google gm parts and there are a TON of web sites that sell GM parts and I'm sure one or some of them will ship internationally.

On all of the GM parts site you can look up the part and then it will give you the part number.

Since you've got fluid all over the place, may I suggest you to verify the overflow hose before changing anything? Its on top of the differential.

Clean the differential, check the fluid level and add if needed, leave the car for 24 hrs if you can, and check if its leaking again. If its not leaking, it might be the differential hose that is too short.

Gmpartsdirect doesn't ship overseas.
Newgmparts actually does, I've already ordered parts from them and they shipped to Switzerland.

Good luck with solving the problem!

Where in Slovakia are you? If you continue to have problems let me know. My Mother-in-law lives in Ostrava Czech Republic and my wifes cousins live in Slovakia outside of Kosice.

Thank you very much guys, I am glad that Cadillac community supports its members abroad

@ Spyke - thank you for your advice. I'll try to check what you recommended to me and maybe it will work out ;)

@ skozzy - I live in Bratislava but I have several friends in Kosice so thank you for your offer and I'll let you know if I would need something, I do appreciate your help

@ SwissSTS - thanks for info, however the problem I have is that I am not sure which part exactly I need to change. I know this website so maybe I'll order something from them in future. And btw - you've got a good taste as for the cars ;) In Europe there are really very few of these cars, moreover I have 19" chrome Dub Dirty Dog 5 rims so wherever I go the car attracts the attention

@ Saila22 - thank you very much, I will see which part should I replace and I will let you know if I would need something

Thank you, the same to you! :highfive:
Even though Switzerland traditionally has many loyal US-car drivers, the 05+ STS is quite rare and my 08 Platinum model stands out even more.

Regarding the shipping of parts from the dealer or any other parts store which don't ship internationally you might want to check out www.myus.com.
