| View Full Version : 87 Brougham fuel filter location? spl explorer 10-25-09, 09:35 PM :yup: outsider 10-25-09, 10:08 PM should be where the fuel line and the carb meet carnut 10-25-09, 10:52 PM Its in the carb fuel inlet. Use the correct flare nut wrenches to remove, first, the fuel line then the larger inlet filter holder. Be aware theres a correct and incorrect direction to this filter. A spring rests in a recess at one end of this filter. If you try to remove just the fuel line with a wrench you WILL damage the steel line. One must hold the filter housing with one wrench while loosening the fuel line with the other wrench. Theres also a thin nylon gasket thats easily torn when reinstalling the housing, be careful! spl explorer 10-25-09, 11:21 PM Its in the carb fuel inlet.
