I'm sick of fighting the archaic traction control in my 1994 fleetwood.
I'm also sick of reaching into the glovebox every time I start it. I want it off for ever. . .. . . with the option to turn it on if I ever sell it.

sounds like you should just have to unplug a harness

Does it have its own fuse?

I don't know if it has a fuse, but from all the threads I've read while searching, it seems like there is an ABS fuse that controls traction stability and the anti lock brakes. I dont' wanna lose the other features, although I'm quite certain this low slung slug ain't gonna flip, even with my fancy footwork.
I'd heard something about disconnecting one or both of the rear wheel sensors, but I'm not sure how to do that either.
I've got dike and bolt cutters and am highly motivated and destructive. . . tell me where to snip!

I have to agree with you about hating that traction control... I don't think there is a eazy way to disable it..If I were to do anything it would be to move the switch out of the glove compartment and put a push button on the lower panel under the steering wheel....or if you want to get high tech you could wire in a relay and a time delay circuit...But I think moving the button is best..
It's as easy as unplugging the harness in the engine compartment near the driver's side wheel well. Retains ABS and everything.

May be it's possible w/ tuning your PCM ? Since OBDI is easier to mod then that might be possible

Did you get a working resolution on this? Not too impressed with my interfering traction control either. Pulling a wire on the sensor will more than likely switch on an error warning light on the dash.
regards, Nick
Let me see if it can be disabled in the PCM code..... Else there is a way that reverses the default on operation that I was going to work on.
