For the last month or so I have noticed that CTS production has exceeded
Deville production.
40,000 vs. 37,000.
Deville sales have really taken a beating the last few years.
It is now selling at 1/3 to 1/4 the rate it did in it's heydey.
Looks like the CTS will beat last year's sales of 50,000 with no problem.
The only reason cadillac sales are up is because of the trucks.

Their car sales are actually down.

They better not depend on the trucks.....I dont think that will happen so much any more though....they seem to have a good competitive lineup coming soon.

The CTS is the car many people are saying already that saved Cadillac. The trend in luxury marques is no longer safe for Cadillac to rely on big, floaty, cushy, sofas on wheels. People like myself want a refined, tight, crisp, and quick and nimble car to go with the luxury aspect. Not to mention, more people in the segment now want a car with which they can row their own gears. If Cadillac continued to put their eggs in just the traditional DeVille and the like, they would have continued to loose ground to BMW and Mercedes.

BTW, a CTS 3.6 w/6 speed manual will be my next car.
