Can anyone recommend a competent dealer in the west or northwest suburbs of Chicago? I spent several hours late on Saturday in Schaumburg trying to get a SRX ordered and it appears I know as much about these cars as the two salesman I was dealing with.

Another question is in regards to why??? We want a Blue Chip with Ebony but that is NOT an available option SRX. Why?

We also want Ultraview plus with the DVD Entertainment Package but you can't get the two together.... Why?

How much should one pay for a LOADED SRX? I mean DVD/NAV, Magnetic Ride Control, V8, AWD, PWR 3rd seat, Ultra view plus, DVD Entertainment, etc?

Thanks.

Elmer

call les laufer at weil cadillac in libertyville at 866-406-5042. he is a member here and one of the top cadillac salesmen in the country, extremely knowledgeable.

for 2005 blue chip IS available with ebony and you should be able to get ultraview plus and the entertaiment package.

Grossinger always treated me well - though your mileage may vary. They're right next to the Lincolnwood Mall.

I used the gmbuypower website to purchase my 04 SRX 4.6 AWD.

www.gmbuypower.com

Once I figured out what I wanted I used their website to search dealer inventories around my area, requested bids, and completed most of the purchase via phone and email. Quoted prices were quite a bit lower than what I could get with a salesman at the dealer. Spent about 15 minutes in the dealer to pay some money and sign papers and that was it.

A good way to find all the dealers in your area, and get fleet style pricing from them.

Patrick does $#@&! I eneded up buying mine out in McHenry at Gary Lang Auto Group. They didn't have one loaded the way I wanted it and I was going out of town in two days. The closest car that was loaded to my liking was in Michigan so my salesman personally drove there and picked it up on a Friday. He dropped it off at my house and picked up my trade at 1:00 AM Saturday morning and hid the keys so I could take it on my trip over the weekend.

White Diamond, V6, AWD, Luxury Performance Package, Rear Entertainment, Navigation, Ultra View Sunroof, Third Row Seat, Power Lumbar...........

5,000 miles and loving it!!!!!!!! :bouncy:

And you obviously found a good salesman.

My first experience with a Caddy dealer was a real downer. The receptionist said to take a seat and she would get someone for me. I waited over 20 minutes while people picked their noses and smoked and joked.

I left and resolved to go to another dealer when I had time.

The following Monday I called another deler and linked up with a salesman. I asked if he had any ETC coupes and he said one was coming off of the truck as we spoke. I asked for colors and features and liked what I heard. Since I was leasing via the GM employee/relative discount the price really wasn't all that negotiable so I just told him that I would take the car.

He said "have you ever driven an ETC"? I said no but I know I would like it so don't worry about it. (I had ridden in one and all I could say was that if a car this big and this comfortable can accelerate and handle like this I have to have one.)

My salesman then said my concience won't let me sell this to you over the phone if you haven't driven it or looked at it. He brought the car to my house that evening, I drove it and said I still want it. He took it back, had it prepped, did the paperwork and delivered it the following evening. I have since purchased or leased 4 more Cadillacs from him and hope to do a few more over time. WHo knows they might get some real HP in the SLR.

If you need a good salesman in the St Pete area pls feel free to contact me.
