just went to the dealer to have a shock sensor installed and got a recall for 09241(trans clutch housing fracture); reprogram trans controller recall; reprogrammed sequential programming code S0788. I guess they just did an inspection since I know the trans housing fracture is a tsb for the cobalt and g6. any input? the hybrid drive just fine.

not an EXT but a 09 escalade hybrid. the cost is $110 for the parts and $120 for the install. since it is new, they gave me full warranty on the install also.

Sorry, I assumed that you had an EXT because when I clicked on the link that you attached I quickly read "Tailgate Theft Deterent System" and stopped reading since I have an 08 standard Escalade. I have just gone back to the link and read a little further and saw that it would probably be a good idea to have this installed on mine. I thought that the factory alarm would have this installed?
Does it do as advertised?

you can adjust the sensitivity. if somebody breaks your window, the stock alarm will not sound off unless they open the door. with this, any movement of the vehicle, glass breakage will get the alarm going. It is also a 2-stage sensor, meaning it honks in short burst if it detects minor tapping on the window. I'm planning to add the anti-tow, wheel jacking add-on but I don't know if this one in sufficient already. with the anti-tow, wheel jacking, when you are parked in the mall and the ground shakes, it will give falsies.
