1st time poster here. I just purchased an 05 Escalade *(Base model) with front end damage. I need a drivers side frame rail part. From the tow hook back a few inches. I'll try to add an image. Can anyone tell me where I can find this part and what the part is called. I'd like to avoid the dealer if possible.

use photobucket to resize ..... your best bet is a junkyard. They will cut anything out of a junk car

I called around and can't find anything. I was hoping someone here would be able to direct me somewhere that would have it new or someone here able to sell it.

is it a bolt-on part or is it a cut and weld part?

I am not 100% sure. The dealer says they have a part but I haven't been able to get there to see it. There are none in my area. My body guy has been checking yards. Said the dealer would charge $900.

I think i might have the same problem. i ran into a pole a few years ago on my drivers side at the tow hook and although not noticeable at first, i cant go bigger than 24s since my wheel on the driver side looks pushed back towards the rear of the front fender. there's only about a 1" clearance compared to the almost 2.5 on the passenger side.So i don't know if the fenders whacked out or if i have actual frame or chassis damage. Is this similar to your problem?

I don't know much about frame damage. My body guys says my wheel base is not out of alignment. So I guess if you measure your wheel base you might know better. I bought this with front end damage, I have all the parts pretty much except this frame part.

www.car-part.com best you can go there. I did buy front drivers rail there. It was for a VW Golf GTI. They cut the size that I needed and shipped it to my door.
