Does anyone know if there is a reprogram or a way to trick out having to press on brake pedal to release parking brake?

This seems to be a problem with manual trans on steep hill, using parking brake to keep from rolling backward, waiting at a light. There is no way to release parking brake and keep foot on throttle same time.

There is no parking brake pedal on the 2009 CTS-V. To release the electric brake (applied with the button in the center console) without depressing the button, simply leave the brake on, put the car in Drive and then give it a small amount of gas to move the car forward. The parking brake will release and you can proceed. As ewill3rd pointed out, this procedure is just for people like you.

Got it... I see it in the owners manual now..guess I didn't push on the accelerator enough to get the automatic release..Thanks!

There is an automatic hill-holder feature when stopped on a incline, even with the auto trans. No P-brake S/B necessary.

Just give gas, lift clutch and go. I never use the manual release method. Always just get in, start up, gas and lift. Brake releases.
