Well, apparently after 3 years of ownership it finally happened to me. The infamous attempt to gain access into my ESV has happened!!!
Basically driver side exterior door handle was pryed 1/2 inch by flathead screwdriver. I can see the lock cylinder exposed along with the jimmyjammer plate that I put in 3 years back. Can anyone with similar experience chime in on what needs to be replaced? taking it to the dealer for repair so would like to know how much I'm looking to spend? Also, should I go through my insurance for such fix or is this just something minor?

thanks

Sorry to hear about that. It sounded like the jimmyjammer plate worked. I need to get one installed.

get the door handle at gmpartsdirect.com. Door handles are $36.00. Dealer wants 130. or so plus labor did they mess with the key lock on the door handle? If so your looking $500.00 parts and labor.

initially it wasnt too obvious but on a closer look it does seem they tried to push in the keylock. I'm trying to post pic but my pc keeps telling me "file upload failure"....Just dropped by my dealer and I'm like the fourth one in recent weeks with the same damage (on the other three they were able to gain entry) guess I was the lucky one. Apparently all the others had 3rd row seats taken from them along with the nav unit and personal items (very clean jobs according to the dealer where no plastic pieces were damaged at all, except the door handle)

How did you get the dealer to do that?
