I cam up with a crazy idea - there must be a way to reprogram what the IPC says to you when you do things like start the car, when a warning comes up, etc.
lol then who knows what language the IPC was programmed in? I want to change the readouts:
Say you start the car, instead of saying MONITORED SYSTEMS OK, have it say, SELF-DESTRUCT ACTIVATED. Instead of FUEL LEVEL VERY LOW, say GET GAS OR PERISH.
Theres gotta be a way to reprogram this!

i think that would be in the bcm somewhere, but not for sure. that would be cool as hell though. i would like to have a nice little tupac or zombie chime instead of the good'ol ding ding chime.

Just a thought, couldnt you modify the chime.. like, take it out and wire a tape player to it.. run it into the stereo and when the power goes to it. whammo, a voice of god says "let there be light, and yo .. your keys, dont forget your keys *jingle jingle*" .. booming over the subwoofers

Bah...the chime is just a nitpick detail...just think of having a scrolling marquee on your dash when the car is turned on...or have a patch that shows you what song is playing on the CD player...hell, manufacture a new cluster with different colours for each item!!! The possibilities are endless!
