My car jerks quite noticeably at start up. Is it common? Do engine mounts fail commonly on these cars? Replacing does not seem to be either difficult or expensive.
Thanks!

you can usually tell if the motor mounts are bad by watching the motor as someone starts it or puts it in gear. If there anything like the ones on the 90, they can be a pain to line up

When I am power-braking, the left headlight is going up about 1.5". The engine does not move with respect to the body. Is it normal?

Not sure what you mean by that. Has your throttle ever stuck, like kept reving after you let off the gas?

The throttle is perfect. By power-braking I mean, starting engine, shifting to D with my foot on the brake pedal firmly and pressing gas pedal. The left fender of the car lifts up about 1.5" during that procedure.
