My Seville died suddenly at 30 mph today... Its sitting a couple of miles from my house right now. Fuel pump is working and codes are E31 History and e74 History. Im back at the house right now to pick up tools and my FSM so I can do some roadside troubleshooting:banghead: Any ideas while Im gone would be appreciated!! I'll post when I get back.

Well whooda thunk it'd be the ignition module! No telltale E12 code to go with it... I'll have to wait and see if the others come back.

Last year while I was doing the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, I figured I'd go ahead and throw a new module in to avoid what happened today... Luckily I kept the still-good OEM module just in case. Guess where I bought the year-old failed piece of chinese crap?

AUTOZONE!

No more 'Duralast' for me.

I replaced that module in my wife's '93 Fleetwood, last winter in the parking lot near Best Buy. Lots of fun:duck:
It has a 5.7 Chevy engine, I think because of the trailer towing package, which is never ever used.
I have a module from Autozone in my Chevy pickup, that's around 8 years old now. I must be lucky !!;)

the 4.X engines do not like autozone parts. if it aint acdelco don't use it
