Love my 2004 SRX, but thinking of trading it in on a new car if the price was right. With the 2010 models out, the 09s and 08s look like they are on fire sale. But...
Dealership wants $41.8K for 2008 SRX V6 (MSRP $47K).
Good deal or no deal?

What options does it have? Also, what are they giving you for your trade in. On the surface doesn't seem like a 'good' deal. It wouldn't get me to trade my 2004.

That sounds like a pretty good deal.
My 2008 SRX stickered for $45,xxx, and I got it for $39,xxx out the door, but that also included 0% for 72 months at the time...
The $39,xxx price was GMS pricing at the time, and I do not qualify for GMS, and there was no 'employee pricing' promo at the time either.

Last Oct. I bought an 08 V6 AWD completely loaded for my wife. Sticker was just over $50k. Car was a GM factory exec unit that had never been titled. Had 9k miles. Bought it for $29,500. Got full warr and my wife will never have to worry about going over the mileage restriction, its the time that was needed. There are very low milage 08's all over for about $30k or a bit more. I might think about going that route but you will just need to do some leg work to find just what your looking for. Very glad it does not have the 3rd row seating. She loves the cargo system in the back that you dont get with the 3rd row. I do wish these damn things had uniform size tires for rotation. I am definately going to replace with 255's all around to fix the rotation issue.
Got an '07 off lease with 27K miles. V8, rwd, sport in very good condition. Low 20's. I would not buy a previous gen SRX new. You will loose 50% in a year. Their are very nice cars coming off-lease now with plenty of factory warranty remaining.
My guess it the off-lease low mileage cars are going through the auctions in the teens now.
My local dealer had new '08 ('09?) V6 AWDs on the floor for about 32K a month ago. They are gone now, since the new ones came out. I'm guessing they ran them through the auction.
I love my SRX though. For the money it is the best car I have ever owned. The engine is great. Would not want to have 40K in it though.

That sounds a little high to me..
Back in April of this year, I bought my 09' SRX4 V6 Sport with Every option (52k Sticker).. it had 7k miles on it - supposed Executive Driven... I paid 36k and added the 2k Extended Warranty. Making it a total of 38k.
You should get a better price than that, for an 08 with less options.
Thank you all. Agreed that the price was too high, and content too low. Keeping the 04. New tires this Friday.

Good luck with the 04! Hope it continmues to serve you well.
I do find it interesting that I thuoght it was a good deal, having bought a new one with a relatively similar deal, albeit with 0% for 72 added though, which is a considerable difference.
But the others who felt it was too high were comparing it to vehicles they had acquired with thousands of miles on them... not really apples to apples, IMHO.

No Deal! If it's still on MSO and has little to no mileage, it is still a two year old car when you drive it off the lot. You will take a beating on it unless you plan to keep it and drive the wheels off of it.
If it has been titled, don't even give it another thought at that price.
