My front turn signal lamp doesn't work anymore. .
Found the part # (GM 10319395)

Is it easy to change ? Can I do it myself ?
Place where I could get it doesn't do the manual work.

Thanks in advance

No. Yes. See the HID tread ongoing now to see how to replace it. I am pretty sure there are other threads with more specific descriptions on what to do. Good luck.

Thanks . Just took a look at the thread.
Looks like I got to remove the bumper:crybaby:
Might as well also change the right bulb which is still working.

Its fairly easy. And no you don't have to remove the bumper. Take off the clips holding the front facia. Remove the plastic slid plate underneath, then the headlight. And lastly, the plastic wheel housing cover. The turn signal assembly is held in place by two screws, one on the bottom, and the other on the radiator-side of the turn signal. When you take out the passenger side, watch out for the windshield washer resoiver, it may get in the way. But you don't need to remove that (thank god).

My 2004 manual has instructions for changing that bulb through the wheelwells. These seems to have been changed in later years. So far, I've replaced 3 bulbs under warranty and the dealer took of the bumper. But it was their dime.....Warranty expired..next time I'l go to an independent with my manual and see what the do...:canttalk:

I installed HIDs in my 05 this last weekend and I had to remove the bumber cover and grill and set it to the side, I looked pretty good to see if I could do what you said and not take the bumper cover off, well I couldnt, I had to remove it, and since I had both lights out of the car I went ahead and replaced all the bulbs and went back with LEDs because they are supposed to last longer and they look good to, I have picks similiar to the other thread if anyone is interested.

For the turn signal you don't have to remove the bumper you just have to remove the inner fender liner on the front of the wheel house.
Anything in the headlamp requires you to remove the bumper.

The turn signal has 6 torx screws that you can remove with the lamp in the vehicle if you have the right tools.
Otherwise you can remove the turn signal housing then remove the screws.
It sucks but...

Wife just noticed that the right turn signal was not working. I checked it out and fouond out that the whole turn signal / drl assembly was loose. The SRX is still under cpo warranty, so I thought that a light assembly coming loose should be a warranty item. The dealer said that replacing bulbs was not covered by warranty, so I paid the $60 or so. I am thinking about contacting Cadillac protesting that a loose light assembly is different than replacing a bulb, and that the bulb failure was probably due to the assembly bouncing around. Any ideas?

My wife's right turn signal just quit working today too. What is going on? Unfortunately i am going out of town until late Friday and then the inlaws are in town this weekend, so it may be a while. Maybe I can get my father-in-law to help change it :D. Actually, that wouldn't be a good idea. Maybe I will try the LED lights, in theory they should last longer. Has anyone had any durability issues with the LED's?

Just a thought:

When I changed a foglight bulb in our '04, I decided to preventatively change the signal bulb as well. My thinking was "while I'm in there..." Given how much of a PITA it is to change these bulbs, I didn't want to have to head in there again in short order.

I went to my garage and wanted to have the turn signal bulb changed. Guess what ? When I got there it was working again. Kept on working for a few days, then it quit. Now it is working again. . . could it be some loose contact somewhere ?

Could be a broken filament, that will work intermittently.
Be sure to inspect the socket, any burned marks or debris on the contact will cause the light to not work intermittently even with a new bulb.
Just replace it.

I changed the bulb and socket (there is a recall on the sockets) in two hours, removed the wheel and wheel arch cover, then 6 torque screws. I was doing the driver's side which I think is harder, there is not a lot of room, and I was doing it at night, I would recommend doing it during daylight hours.

I just did my passenger's side today, and it was a huge pain. I took out the wheel well liner (those plastic push-ins were a huge pain to get out and I messed up a couple of them), but it was nearly impossible to reach all the screws - 2 to take out the assembly and 6 to remove the back cover. I ended up taking 1 screw out but couldn't get the second to remove the assembly because it was such a tight fit in there. I would guess you would need an air ratchet because I could not turn my socket wrench. I took off 5 of the six screws on the assembly because the last one didn't have room behind it for my screwdriver to fit. I was able to undo the bulb and change it by reaching up into the housing. Then I put everything back together and found a piece of plastic tubing on the ground. I took the wheel cover back apart and found where it went then had to put everything back together again. One of the push-ins was very loose so I pulled it back out, and I ended up with one push-in that I never could figure out where it went. The design is horrible. It is clear each component was designed independently and no consideration was given for everything assembled.
