Headliner yes. Steering wheel no. leija_01 10-17-09, 11:30 PM Headliner yes. Steering wheel no.
haha, why no? Well, this is just my opinion, but there is a reason no production car comes with suede on the wheel. It just wont wear well, and doesnt look right on the wheel anyway. silverws6ta 10-18-09, 12:50 PM Well, this is just my opinion, but there is a reason no production car comes with suede on the wheel. New CTS-V owners area already commenting on this subject -- great feel and look.. when its new.. 5 years and 50,000 miles from now.. Will be another question. leija_01 10-18-09, 06:40 PM New CTS-V owners area already commenting on this subject -- great feel and look.. when its new.. 5 years and 50,000 miles from now.. good point... thebigjimsho 10-19-09, 11:27 AM Well, this is just my opinion, but there is a reason no production car comes with suede on the wheel. It just wont wear well, and doesnt look right on the wheel anyway.
Many high performance production cars DO come with suede wheels... thebigjimsho 10-19-09, 11:28 AM As for the headliner, I'd need to see it in person to get a feel for the look. If it were a darker headliner, I'd definitely be all for it... dhemrick 10-19-09, 02:02 PM I love it! I've always thought the light gray headliner in our cars seemed out of place in a black car and really only matched with the light gray interior. I'd do this in a heartbeat.
I assume you painted all of the plastic panels (lights, handles, etc.) in the headliner with black vinyl paint? leija_01 10-19-09, 05:56 PM I love it! Maserati Quattroporte, just to name one... LITTLEELVISDAN 10-21-09, 12:38 PM Whoever did the work did a good job. If I did it I would have to go a black suede for I have the black and red interior.. leija_01 10-21-09, 05:53 PM If you were closer, dan....I'd hook ya up! :) thebigjimsho 10-21-09, 09:59 PM Such as?
Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes AMG... Must be some of those out of my league, because I have driven plenty of Ferraris, AMGs, Porsches, etc and Im yet to see one with Suede on the wheel. I digress. bobs-sts-v 10-26-09, 12:47 PM Me too. My AMG has no suede on the steering wheel. Should I complain to Mercedes?

It appears they're "big" in the BMUUs - oh except they like using the term Alcantara. :D

And you still haven't addressed the fact that it's also available in the CTS-V... leija_01 10-30-09, 01:53 AM I think I might do the steering wheel.... lol And you still haven't addressed the fact that it's also available in the CTS-V...
Look man I really could care less what car it comes in. I think a suede wheel is a bad idea no matter what. Its not going to wear well. As far as your personal attack comment goes, that does nothing more than to show your juvinile inability to react to someone elses difference of opinion. Respond to me when your personality matures a little. thebigjimsho 11-01-09, 07:20 PM Look man I really could care less what car it comes in. I think a suede wheel is a bad idea no matter what. Well, when one is so full of themselves in thinking that they're right, sometimes they need to be jolted lest they live their lives in ignorance.
And since you claim that you care about this, I felt it necessary to tell you... whisler151 11-01-09, 09:01 PM but there is a reason no production car comes with suede on the wheel. It just wont wear well, and doesnt look right on the wheel anyway.
Here are a few brands that use suede on steering wheels as an option on high performance vehicles...I'm sure there are more but I dont feel like looking them up.
Cadillac
BMW
Lamborghini
Audi
Ford I should have worded that "not many". Well, when one is so full of themselves in thinking that they're right, sometimes they need to be jolted lest they live their lives in ignorance.

Im not about to continue an internet argument with you friend. I never pretended to be more sure of myself than you. Some cars do have suede on the wheel. I accept that. I never personally attacked you. Its all good lets move on! thebigjimsho 11-03-09, 08:56 PM Im not about to continue an internet argument with you friend. It's all semantics, mah man. I was just trying to show you there were cars that had it. You tried to show me up and it irritated me. Besides, I said don't be a dumbass. You can do it!
Now that we have established that some cars have it, you're right. Let's move on... LITTLEELVISDAN 11-03-09, 11:01 PM WHEW!!! WOW!!! I used off the roll suede from the local fabric store in my Fleetwood and found it VERY difficult to work with... not stretchy at all.
