ok i have a 1991 sedan deville with 220k miles on it.. i just recently redid the brakes before i went to ga on vacation.. lately the pedal is stiff like it should be but every once in a while the pedal will fall to the floor when i try to apply the brake.. if i pump it when it does it it goes back to normal... i bled the brakes so it can't be that..my abs light has been on since i got the car.. could that have anyhting to do with it? master cylinder maybe?

That sounds like an ABS issue for sure. It probably thinks it's in a lock-up mode, but isn't releasing fluid from the accumulator. Try a little Southwest Voodoo on it.
