I finally got around to taking some pics of my truck. In another thread the mudflaps and leveling kits were discussed. I didn't want to cut the fender wells to put the 26" rims on it, plus I'm a country boy, so I like a lifted truck anyway. I'm very pleased with the result... (plus I can run my 22" winter rims with a 33" Toyo Mud Tire :lildevil: ) Its up 2" in the front and 1.25" in the rear. It seems a lot bigger now too lol, as my friend has a reg Escalade and parked in my drive next to me for a Bengals game and he couldn't believe how much bigger mine looked (aside from the length obviously).

I still have to get my 3M wrap on it before winter, and install the B&B exhaust, Hotchkis sways, the EFI tune, and when these brakes wear out, install a big brake kit.

Hope this helps some of you guys decide on whether you want the lifted look or not. I'll post some pics in a couple of months with the mud tires if these rims aren't your thing.

Cheers,

Lifted the 26's look small, I am sure 33's would fill the wells up nice. Not a fan of push bars. Wheels look great.

the wheels look bigger in person, but in pics they do look smaller no doubt. if you do the math a 305/30 is a 33" tire lol, so i'm not sure the overall diameter will change much. the difference in sidewall and flex might account for a little along with the more aggressive tread pattern, but we're probably talking a half inch max.

What I should have said was a 33" off-road tire, it's amazing with the side lugs of an off road tire how wide they look even though they are more narrow. The 305/30/26's are 33.20" high, I have a set sitting in my office :)

i know what you mean about the Mud Tires... :)

i wish i'd have known that when i was asking you questions about them, i'd have taken them off of your hands if you wanted to get rid of em. i've been considering a 4" rancho lift and putting the 305/40/26 on them to see what it looks like with a 35" tire lol. that would give me a lot more fun options for winter tires as well, but who knows... i'm content for now. the only thing that scares me about that is it looking "dunked" or whatever is being done to those poor old school cars now.

Now that is a good traction tire. The problem with a real aggressive tread like the tire in the pic is that on the road they are so loud you can not hear yourself think, I had a Blazer in the early 80's with 44" tires on it until I slipped getting out of it and broke my foot. Where I live in the winter time we get so much snow but the problem is I need a tire that is good in the snow and dry, that is why for my the Revo's are the best all around choice, but I may just leave one Escalade up there and put a mud off road tire on it.

It is a great looking ride. I like the tires, I only wish the Toyo's fit the stock 18 inch wheels. I am still looking for an aggressive tire for these wheels of mine. \

Who installed your leveling kit?

the leveling kit was easy, i had a local shop do it. basically all you're doing is pulling the strut assembly out and installing a spacer at the top with some longer bolts. it isn't near as complicated as an actual lift kit. the leveling kit was $225 and the install was $300.

are you looking for stock 22" rims, they'd fit these, i'm looking at some aftermarket 22" rims with these tires anyway as i want a more aggressive offset. i have a set with 4k miles on them sitting in the garage with the same on the tires.

$300 wtf that sound like a spade kreation price i got mines installed for 75 bucks and only took 20 mins. Who charged you $300 unless you meant $300 w/install?

boss513 & Haterinc, where did you have them installed? I went to Four Wheel Parts Wholesalers here in Houston, TX and they said that they would not install them because of the auto leveling system that is on the Escalade.

i would guess he was talking about a "Clear Bra", it is a protected clear film that one installs on the front of their car to protect the car from bugs and rock chips. 3M makes it, along with several other companies.

Did you get the B&B installed? Have you ever had a Corsa? If so, how do they compare? My main concern is the drone. The B&B on our H2 has absolutely no drone but that's a difference application. I've had 3 Corsa's over the years and I love than there is minimal drone compared to cheaper systems. I even tried the GM Performance Exhaust on or 2007 Yukon and the drone was horrible. The dealer took it back after the manager drove around with me. I am leaning towards a B&B because I like the exhaust note better than the Corsa's that sound like marine exhaust systems. Sorry for rambling but do you like the B&B and is there any drone? I don't care about loud, I prefer it. I just don't like the drone. It cheapens the sound.

I have B&B on one Escalade and Corsa on two others, the B&B makes more noise for sure, and more drone than Corsa, the Corsa exhaust also offer a flex coupling that absorbs a lot of exhaust vibration which equals less interior vibration, B&B does not, I have talked to them about this several times. The B&B sounds more like a 60's big block car, people ask about it all the time, in the mountains the noise can get a little much from time to time compared to the Corsa exhaust. You get almost no drone on the highway with B&B unless you are on it going up large hills or mountains.
