Just wanted to say hello to you all. I am new on the forum but not new at all to the Cadillac community. My dad is a retired GM guy and has been buying Cadillacs for quite some time. Currently he has a 08 Escalade with 22s, custom grille, tails, exhaust, etc. My step mom drives the 07 XLR-V around town if not in the Escalade. My step mom used to have an SRX before they moved.
Now my wife is pregnant with our first child and we needed something besides my twin turbo sc300 or my 93 sentra beater. So we chose a 05 SRX with about 55k on it. It is Pearl White with Tan/Black interior. v6 AWD. I really like these cars and just wanted to start doing stuff since owning it since Friday :-)
The first thing though is that on the passenger door panel on the top it appears to have some blackish lines and such and I was wondering if this is wear or dirt. I thought I would ask here before scrubbing the heck out of it and making it worse if it is wear.
There are some little issues with it like clicking when closing the sunroof and the ashtray not swinging open but since we bought at Carmax I am going to simply take to them for their 30 day guarantee.
Thanks for the help in advance and look forward to being part of the community.
