Quick question y'all,

My grandfather changed the tires on his '85 Brougham to 235/15's...I was just wondering how much difference this would be from stock (which is 215/15, I believe)

Should I go back to the 215's when getting new tires (eventually), or stay the same? Just wondering about rolling resistance vs. handling, etc. Remember this boat has the HT4100 so I don't want tires milking what little power I have!!!!

Best,
Bruce

It should say on the door jamb what the stock size is, I believe it's 225/75. I think the 235s look a little large in the wheelwells myself. I've got 245/60 Cooper Cobras on both of mine. They are about the stock height, but nice and wide. They stick to the road quite well too. I like having white letter tires on my Caddys though, and that's not for everybody.

Thanks...

Is your 80 the one with the 500? If so, yeah, I'd say the white-letters fit :lildevil:

However, I was wondering about the change in size more from a ride-and-handling perspective (and also speedometer error.) What's the score on those areas (if anyone knows)

Thanks again,
Bruce
