Ok, I need your help somebody with a 1993 STS with Fog lights that work.
Where you going, wait.. all you have to do is unscrew about 6 screws and look at the wire color.

Pull out kinda hard on the headlight dimming switch.. it will pop out, remove the 2 connectors. Bring it inside and open her up. Remove a few screws.. and tell me what color wires are hooked to the fog light toggle switch and to which side.

A picture would put me forever in debt to you and the service you provided.

My STS has the fog lights, just not the switch.. i'm hoping i can install my own, GM wants $177 for a whole new light panel. I might be able to do this for $5.

Unfortunately, I don't have a STS, but I might be able to help anyway. Ground the yellow wire, you should have fog lights with your low beams on. The Inhibit function is controlled by a relay, and not by the switch itself.

Cool cool, so looking at schematics i have the yellow which when grounded fires up the relay and enables the fog lights.. So, i have a black wire which is a ground in the same harness.. you think i'd be alright if i just twisted those two together? That would ground the yellow. and that'd be where i placed the switch. Thanks Dave, now if i wasnt such a puss* i'd go out and try it tonight.. soon though :)

I tried it, nothing. damnit. verified i had the relay in the trunk. Battery went dead almost instantly. I'll have to check and make sure the rest of the fog light system is intact, pretty sure it is. beh not cool. nothing weird happened, which is cool.
