Both of my turn siganls (front adn back) are not working. I have blinking lights (arrows ) either on the dash. I checked all my fuses and bulbs. I am assuming it is either the flasher or the turn siganl module. I don't want to try the module until I try the flasher (plus I don't want to mess with the air bag)

I read through the owners manuel and my chilton book and I can't figure out where this flasher is located. They say under the instrument panel . Is it up under the carpeted part or is it actually the part under my steering wheel that is plastic and is help on with screws??

As you can see i am confused. Any help woudl be appreciated.

My car is a 94 seville Sts

Also, do I need to disable the Airbag to replace a flasher. I have heard that I don't, but I am reading that I should whenever working near the steering column, which is true?? Thanks

The flasher should be up under the hush panel behind the dash. I think it is left of the column. No need to fool with the airbag. Not sure about the '94 but on my car there are 2. One for the turn signals and one for the 4-way emergency flashers.

Like Ranger said remove the left sound insulator, remove screws and courtesy lamp from sound insulator. 2 screws at top and it looks like 2 of those push in holders. There is a turn signal flasher unit and a hazard flasher unit. the turn is the one on the left side under the cover and the hazard is to the right.

That sounds odd...
If the arrows on the dash are blinking, then the turn signals should also be flashing (as the dash indicators are in the same circuit as the "real" bulbs). If the dash indicators come on but don't flash, then you have problem with either the flasher or bulbs or wiring.

Emergency flasher is a separate circuit (powering up the same bulbs as the regular flasher). So, turn on the emergency flasher and see what happens then.
